IGF-DES Research

IGF-DES is a synthetic growth hormone peptide presently undergoing study and development to produce the compound and taper its potential uses. The experimentation is almost entirely being done on animal cells to compare how the IGF-DES peptide cooperates with the cells in a natural environment.

DISCLAIMER: IGF-DES has never been intended for human consumption and could be harmful if ingested in any way. It is purely produced for scientific research and development purposes. Do not attempt to use this product for any other purpose aside from research.

Derived from Escherichia coli, IGF-DES is a synthesized peptide that has been developed to mimic growth hormones. It is currently undergoing research to figure out what reactions it has with plant and animal cells, and is showing promise in helping map out cell recognition of insulin. This is also helping scientists learn how cells determine what factors inhibit or enhance cell growth.

IGF-DES has been found to contain 67 of the most essential amino acids, and has shown to increase the release of different hormones within animal cells during the research conducted thus far. Animal cells have also been shown to undergo hyperplasia, or a significant growth in cell number, when exposed to the natural form of IGF-DES as well. Most of the studies currently going on are comparing animal cells to the natural form of IGF and the synthesized version, IGF-DES. Scientists want to see what differences the cells show when exposed to both of these substances to determine how much different a cell can detect.

Researchers have determined that the freeze dried variety of IGF-DES is the most stable form, and can easily be kept frozen (-18 degrees centigrade) for long-term storage. The powder should never be left at room temperature longer than a period of three weeks in order to maintain purity. Then when the researchers need more of the solution, they are to combine the powder with acetic acid until it reaches the proper pH balance (typically this is 500mcg/mL).

Once IGF-DES has been reconstituted, it requires use within seven days or it may lose its stability. IGF-DES requires storage at 4 degrees centigrade and should never be repeatedly frozen and thawed. Any hypodermic needles that are to be used with IGF-DES should be frozen along with the solution to keep everything at the same level of stability, ensuring the most accurate results no matter what type of research is being conducted.
